2013 Men
6-0 record

The Vancouver Strathcona Men were crowned the Open Champions after an amazing 3 point win in the Championship Game against New York.

Despite an undefeated record in pool play, we were seeded 3rd in a single-elimination playoff, forcing our men to play in back-to-back semifinal and final games.  There were over a dozen lead changes in the Championship Game before a couple key free throws and easy lay-ins sealed the deal for our Men’s team.

Tommy Nixon was named Most Valuable Player as well as to the All-NACBA tournament team.

The Vancouver Strathcona Women finished first in our round robin pool and were seeded 3rd heading into playoffs.  We made it to the Final Four and eventually lost in the semi-finals to San Francisco, last year's reigning champs, that had a few former D1 players from UCLA and SF State.

We finished with a record of 4-2 overall.  Our only two loses were by 1 pt to Toronto Sr and 3 pts to San Francisco.  LA was the eventual champs from the other side of the bracket, a team that we had beaten by 15 points in our first round robin game.

Katie Miyazaki and Charlotte Lau were named to the All-NACBA tournament team.
