About UsThe Vancouver-Strathcona Basketball Club evolved from the Strathcona Basketball Program which is operated by Strathcona Community Centre and the Strathcona Community Centre Association for the past 40 years. Many of the participants, both coaches and athletes, of Vancouver-Strathcona Basketball Club are former or current members of the Strathcona Community Centre Basketball Program.
Our purpose and objectives are: (a) To promote, provide and coordinate athletic and cultural opportunities for athletes through the sport of basketball. (b) To provide opportunities for athletes to develop sportsmanship, citizenship, leadership and basketball skills. (c) To promote the Chinese heritage through programs and special events that cater to every demographic. (d) To build and sustain partnerships with other organizations wishing to support the same objectives of the club. |

The key event for Vancouver-Strathcona Basketball Club is to send our NACBAIT teams to participate in the annual North American Chinese Basketball Championships. The Nationals takes place on an annual basis in rotating cities around Canada and the United States.
